Sketchbooks by the Dozens

2011 Sketchbook Project Tour Seattle from mightymoss on Vimeo.

Went to the Sketchbook Project tour in Seattle where I spent hours looking through sketchbooks, two at a time. Along with many other people in crowded surroundings, but who cares?  Much fun to find such talented artists. I'll be submitting one for 2012 project on the theme of travel, but my travel will highlight places close to home that I've not spent any or enough time at despite being here for 16 years.

The Sketchbook Project site has some of the digitized versions. Amazingly, their plan is to digitize all sketchbooks eventually. I can't even fathom how big that job is.

Sketchbook project

Go here to see a video of some sketchbooks in the Sketchbook Project 2011 collection I got to enjoy this weekend. Amazing work. These people ought to be fixing our country. We need some creativity in D C.

Went to the Sketchbook Project in Seattle today. Well, me, and hundreds of others. We all fit, though, if needing to use outside benches (thank you for trusting us).

Enjoyed the streets of Belltown with a purchase at cool store and a stop at Starbucks. Also enjoyed this:

Ella Fitzgerald said it all. I LOVE Paris.

Photos from Paris trip last spring. I came across it today while putting another Animoto together.
